All about thousands of years: The Romans knew what was good for them early on: getting together at the Aquae Helveticae, the Helvetic springs in the region today known as Baden. From the 15th century on the Helvetic confederates held regular meetings in Baden and united city and rural areas in to a thriving Switzerland – and this likely accompanied by many a drink in the Blume, first mentioned in 1421. In the 19th century, Charles E. Brown and Walter Boveri – still the “B’s” in ABB – had the opportunity of dining in the Atrium gallery, built in 1840. All about enjoyment. All about architecture: The exterior of the Atrium-Hotel Blume is a remarkable architectural monument in itself. Step inside and you’ll find the interior is even more extraordinary. Just a few metres in the door, and you’re a 1000 kilometres to the South. The gallery in the dinner courtyard could very well be in Seville, were it not for the historical lift, a testimony of Swiss elevator design. In turn, the Jugendstilsaal with its classic ceiling frescos, chandelier and exquisite parquet flooring is totally central-European in style. The hotel rooms are pleasantly matter-of-fact; so our guests can write their own unique stories. All about enjoyment.
